I have had the Storr for about a year now and it has traveled with me for many weekends and a few multi-week trips via walking, car, train, plane, and ferry. The weekend trips are usually swing dance weekends and the space of the Storr allows lots of clothing changes and shoe options. The longer trips are a more backpacking style, and with how I pack for longer journeys (carry-on only), the Storr works well. I make use of packing cubes and a compression sack to keep the interior organized. The pack fits well in the small overhead bin space of Q400 aircrafts, as well as underseat space the two times I've needed to put the pack there. I have not properly tested the water resistant-ness, but did have a drizzly walk while wearing it; there were no apparent leaks. My one gripe is how it fits on a 165cm tall, chesty person. The cross chest strap is a must as the bag pulls back, but the chest strap cuts very awkwardly across the chest and needs multiple adjustments to make comfortable. Once it is in a good spot it is decent for walking from place to place in a city. I heard that there used to be a hip strap for the pack, and if it ever came up again, I would most certainly purchase it to take some weight from the chest and shoulders. All that being said, it is a pretty great pack! The petina is starting to appear, and it makes the pack even more beautiful than when it first arrived.

When it arrived in the post I thought it looked very large and not a very ergonomic shape for a Size 10 female. This made me measure it and check that it would be accepted by Ryanair or EasyJet as Carry-on. But it ticked that box. I didn’t fill it to travel. Just as well as when full it would be too heavy for me to use as a back pack. I did still find it heavy to lug through an airport and a waist strap would have helped support the weight and relieve the strain on my shoulders. In terms of looks, it appeals and I like the material and the various zip pockets. I love the fact it is “Made in Scotland”

Now that air travel is back on the agenda, but only with carry on, if you want to guarantee you and your bag will arrive at the same destination, at the same time!
