Certified B Corp – Same Values, Stronger Future

Certified B Corp – Same Values, Stronger Future

We're B Corp Certified

Since 2010, Trakke has been built on a simple principle: make bags that last. Not for a season, but for years. Not disposable, but dependable. Bags crafted with care, designed to be repaired, and made to carry your story through every adventure.

In 2025, as we joined the Alpkit family, we gained something that reflects what we've always stood for: B Corp™ certification.

It was good timing, having just recertified and increased its B Corp Score from 95 to 123, cementing its place in the leading pack of thoughtful outdoor brands.

This isn't about changing who we are. It's about recognising what we've always been – a brand that believes doing things right matters as much as making things right.

What is B Corp?

B Corp (Certified B Corporation) is a global certification for businesses committed to using their work as a force for good. To become certified, companies are assessed against rigorous standards covering social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.

It means we've been independently verified as a business that puts people and planet alongside profit. That we're part of a global community working towards the same goal: proving that business can be done differently.

Why This Matters to Trakke

For us, B Corp certification isn't a new direction – it's validation of the path we've been walking since day one.

  • Craftsmanship over convenience. Every Trakke bag is made by skilled hands – machinists and makers who take pride in every stitch. We believe there's value in knowing who made your gear and the care they put into it.
  • Materials that matter. We use British-made waxed cotton sourced from UK mills – a heritage fabric that's water-resistant, durable, and ages beautifully. Unlike synthetic alternatives, it can be reproofed time and time again, giving your bag a longer life.
  • Built to be repaired, not replaced. Our Lifetime Guarantee isn't marketing – it's a promise. We'll repair any Trakke bag for free, keeping gear in use and out of landfill. Because a bag that lasts a lifetime doesn't need replacing.
  • Buyback & Remade. When a Trakke bag has served its purpose with you, we'll buy it back and give it a second life through our Remade programme. Good gear deserves another chapter.
  • Thoughtful choices, every component. From CNC-machined AustriAlpin COBRA buckles to biodegradable packaging, we carefully consider each element that goes into a Trakke product.

Living the Change We Want to See

As a small, craft-focused brand, we've never been able to compete on price or speed. Instead, we've competed on quality, integrity, and longevity. We've chosen the harder path: using better materials, paying fair wages, making gear locally, and standing behind everything we make.

B Corp certification shows that this approach – the one our community has supported since the beginning – is the right one.

We're not perfect, and we don't have all the answers. But we're determined to keep making bags the right way, even when it's the harder way.

What This Means for You

If you already own a Trakke bag, nothing changes – except perhaps your confidence that we'll continue doing what we've always done. Making gear that lasts, supporting it for life, and standing by our values.

If you're considering a Trakke bag, you can trust that your investment goes beyond just a product. You're supporting a business committed to craftsmanship, local production, sustainable practices, and treating people fairly at every step of the supply chain.

Our Community, Our Future

Over 15 years, we've built an incredible community – cyclists, travellers, hikers, and everyday adventurers who choose bags that can keep up with their lives. Many of you have become genuine friends, and you've supported us through every chapter of our journey.

As we continue that journey with Alpkit, B Corp certification gives us an even stronger foundation. It connects us to a global movement of businesses proving that profit and purpose aren't opposites – they're partners.

Together, we're building a future where quality outlasts trends, where repair is valued over replacement, and where every bag tells a story worth carrying.
